Melissa Adams

Bio

Melissa Adams resides in San Francisco, a 2007 SFAI graduate in Film/video with a concentration in Science. She was borne in New Orleans and has traveled working in Dance, Theater, Film, in addition to ecological and human rights issues in New York City and Los Angeles. Recent work has included travel to Cairo, Egypt, Istanbul, Turkey and Chiapas, Mexico focusing on semiotics, the dance of life as well as living symbiotically with natural law. She has shown at the Swell Gallery, La Vita e Bella, the Garage, Red Ink Studios, and The Legion of Honor and the De Young museums in San Francisco.

Statement

Writing Symbols is a primitive response to living in modernity.

The impetus for this response was to tap into my body intelligence to see what was happening with my psyche in response to the psychic energy in which I was engulfed by at that present moment and collectively special in regards to the past.
